About
The Huntingburg Regional Airport (KHNB), Huntingburg Airport Technology Park - HATP, only FBO, part 61 flight school with N8479F (PA-28-151) are all owned and operated by the Dubois County Airport Authority (DCAA). The Dubois County Airport Authority, is a local governmental entity established in 1983 per Indiana statue, from the Dubois County Commissioners and the City of Huntingburg. The DCAA was forced in taking over the FBO in 2013, when Dubois County Flight Services (subsidiary of a local major corporation) decided to no longer provide the service to the general flying public. The DCAA attempted to find a private entity to operate the FBO, but due to previous poor decision making (allowing companies to have their own fuel farms) the primary source of revenue was not available to attract private investment. Since March of 2013, the DCAA has continued operating the FBO, launched a flight school and continues to expand services to the flying public. Most recently, the DCAA has partnered with Patoka Valley Career and Technical Cooperative, in creating a high school level program for regional students to start their aviation career! We are passionate about seeing others in aviation be successful and introduction aviation as a great career choice.
