About
ULA is an FAA approved pilot school established in 2003 and headquartered in the Salt Lake City valley. ULA offers primary and specialty training courses and depending on the course, students can choose to train under Part 141 or Part 61. After nearly 20 years, ULA recently moved their headquarters from the international airport to South Valley Regional airport. The move allows students increased flexibility and airtime. ULA has a full-time maintenance staff and provides aircraft options ranging from the Sport Cruiser, Cessna 152, Cessna 712S, N, and M models and the Tecnam Multi-engine P2006T. If you are interested in a career in aviation and have a passion for flying the timing and opportunities could not be better for you. The latest Boeing report (July 2022) projects a need for over 602,000 pilots, 610,000 maintenance technicians and nearly 900,000 cabin crew members over the next 20 years. Furthermore, the ranks of all three sectors were impacted by retirements, in many cases accelerated by months of COVID-driven furloughs that led air crew and maintenance personnel to early retirement. Furthermore, the pilot shortage is anticipated to endure well into the foreseeable future and is happening at a time of unprecedented growth in the airline industry. The latest Boeing forecast predicts that the worldwide fleet of aircraft will more than double in the next 20 years, while the worldwide pilot pipeline is proving insufficient to the task of creating new pilots to crew not only current, but future aircraft. The time to complete the course is dependent on your commitment. ULA is considered a boutique training school; in that we cater to your schedule. If you desire to train at an accelerated pace, we will accommodate your schedule.
